Commercial Vehicles

We have received several complaints about commercial vehicles parking in the neighborhood overnight. We  checked and were told some homeowners we're mailed violation letters last week. Of course each homeowner who gets a violation letter has a grace period to correct the violation. Any commercial vehicles parked overnight after the grace period will be towed by the HOA at the owners expense.

  1. this is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard of! The people with comercial vehicles are hard working people. Atleast you know they have jobs! They do not have many options as to where to park them The one secure place to park a vehicle has a waiting list and it is a couple of months before you get a spot. The only other option you have is to park it somewhere that is not secure and you run the risk of having it broken into. I would understand not wanting to have comercial vehicles in an up scale neighborhood but this is not one. And to have them towed is even more dumb. Why can't the people park their work vehicles here? We pay enough in HOA dues that we should be able to. And as for them being an eyesore that is not a good excuse in my
opinion. Like I said atleast you know they work!

  2. One of the issues with this was the fact that 2 of the affected home owners originally bought their homes from Mercedes when they were first built and the salesman told them they were allowed to park their. Their was debates for this for months, than Mercedes with no vote or notice to homeowners completely re-wrote the covenants and filed them with the court, and they changed the language to forbid commercial parking of vehicles among other things, this is really a bigger issue, i believe if challenged in court these covenants would be thrown out, but our board and management company have always been on Mercedes side and not ours, maybe that will change in December she we can elect a new board no longer with ties to Mercedes.
